Everyone knows I'm a tennis freak. And that even if I haven't had the chance of even holding a racket for more than 15 years, it's still something that I keep close to my heart.
Whenever I watch TV and chance upon a tennis match, that's it. You can never make me change the channel. I'll watch that match up until the end.
That's how much I love the sport.
The past two weeks, I reignited this passion. Thanks to my housemate, Balazs, I was able to go back to playing tennis again. Every weekend, we go to Hotel Sofitel, pay $15 to play - mind you, we get to use other amenities such as swimming pool, gym, sauna.
It's simply hard to express in words how ecstatic I felt the first time I hit my forehand. Oh God. Uhmmm... How do I explain it? It's like you got back with your ex - who you truly love and who you wished for the longest time you'll get back together.
And tennis and I are sooo back in each other arms.
Service, forehand, backhand, volley, lob, slice.
All those type of shots, I was able to do.
I am slightly in heaven.
It is the BEST distraction from all of the hoolabaloos happening in my life right now.
Tennis, now, is the wind beneath my wings.
Note: I have to note here that the shower room experience provides exciting moments also. *wink*
