And yet another reality TV show

Its called "Beauty and the Geek."

God.

Honestly, I was riveted. They've gathered seven male geeks (some virgins, some haven't had the courage to date, you know, the works) and seven sex-bomb girls, who never really achieved greatness academically. There was a dancer, cheerleader, a model etc. They all picked their partners. Each pair will face challenges throughout the season and will battle it out with other pairs. Academics for the sexy girls and social skills for the geeks. The geek guy must help her sexy girl partner and vice versa.

In last night's episode, the first challenge was for the girls. There seemed to be a sort-of quiz bee contest. (The night before, geek guys gave their girl partners a review). They were in the stage of an auditorium, in front of an audience. One by one, the host asked questions. Each time one answers incorrectly, she gets eliminated from the game. Matira-matibay. Their geek partners were on the side watching, hoping and praying that they say the right answers. It was just suprising to me that some of the girls couldn't spell simple words. When the host asked one girl to spell tattoo, she spelled it as t-a-t-o-o. The other one spelled calendar as c-a-l-e-n-d-e-r. Calender. Ano ba. I'm not smart ano, but, really, calender? In one of the couple-practicing/reviewing scenes, one girl even replied to her geek partner "Actually, that word nickel is one difficult word to spell..." And the geek would just stare in utter amazement and disbelief.

The next challenge was dancing, for the guys. The night before, the girls taught their geek partners some dance moves. Since this will be an audience vote, the guy that won did not necessarily had cool moves, but was definitely the funniest. This guy danced so weird but it didn't matter because he captured the audience.

The winning couple would then select two pairs for elimination. The two pairs would then fight each other for a chance to stay for one more week. It was Q&A contest. The girls would have to answer the "intelligent" questions and the guys would answer questions related to music/pop. The couple with the most correct answers stay.
