For two straight Saturdays, I watched Philippine Idol live at Megamall.
It was fun because its sooo "entertainment" - the lights, the people - alive and pulsating.
Even before the actual show begins, two non-celebrity hosts (they're most likely part of the production crew) try to stir up excitement among the studio audience so that as the show's about to start, everyone's energized. So, fun-fun na rin especially if the hosts is a tag team of a butch and a loud gay, rousing laughters from the crowd.
Anyway, the next day (and God!), I went to watch ASAP. God diba. But before any judgements are made, this is work-related, for your information. We launched something in that show. The whole stage and studio looks huge in TV but in actuality, its really narrow and small. I sat in the second row but on the leftmost part - the dulo, kumbaga. I didn't mind. I really didn't dream to sit in front & middle just to be seen or be near the artistas. I wasn't seen on TV. But, my geads, all the artistas were beside me, standing. The thing is these people feel that they are in a party or some kind of concert. When one of their kind is performing, they all merge at the side of the stage, dancing and singing and clapping for the performer. Eh, of course, that's where I was. Surprisingly, I wasn't star struck. Probably because its not cool seeing how other fans scream their lungs out just to even get a glance from their star.
Not to sound matapobre ano because I maybe one of the most unclass person this side of the universe, but the whole ASAP thing is way too jologs for me.
Pero, iba ang pull sakin ng Philippine Idol. One cannot miss the side remarks of Mamita, better known as Pilita Corales. She is the Best.
Iba na rin tong pagka-active ko sa TV industry!
