Yesterday afternoon, Tracy called my office to tell me that we are having dinner that same night.
I said yes, sure. But really, if they decide to eat in an expensive restaurant, I will surey pass. I went back to my apartment by 830 pm. Took off my shoes and pants and sat comfortably on my couch and watched the Fab 5 show. I was not expecting a call from Tracy anymore about the dinner because it was already nine. Besides, I am already comfortable, lazing around. But, at nine pm, tracy texted to say that dinner is tuloy. I didn't want to go because then I had to dress up again. But persistent Tracy said I had to go because there's some chaz (definition: tsimis, gossip, juicy news). Being the tsimoso person that I am, I quickly dressed up and went to meet them.
I then went to 415 to meet them. I was forcing them to tell me what this juicy news was. They said they'll tell me later when everybody's present. My God. I told them I wish the news was about me winning a trip to the US or a raffle of sorts. Shar. Anyway, we then picked up Maite from her office. She too was hesistant to go too because she has tons of work, but when Tracy said the magic word "chaz," she up and left the office. After a lot of forcings from me and Maite regarding the "chaz," Tracy said they don't really have a "chaz." They just wanted to trap us into having dinner out with them. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. My thoughts at this point.
Okay, fine. It was always fun to be with my chums anyway. My only concern was "expensivities." We got to the restaurant (I think Ricco Renzo's the name of the restaurant, I'm not sure) and ordered our food. We then had our little chats. And then, amidst the chattings, I can see from my peripheral vision a lady walking in from the entrance approaching our table but I cannot see from torso up because Monster, who was seating beside me, was blocking her. But, then this girl tapped Maite on her shoulders and said something I didn't quite understand. At that point I saw her face already and it was Mamu!!! Abi!!! I was like stunned silent for two seconds. I stood up shocked with both my hands covering my mouth, with a loud inhaled breathing sound. Shocked! Maite screamed like she saw a ghost and I think she almost fell on the floor. Me shocked, Maite scared shitless.
Anyway, it was the biggest surprise ever, or should I say "chaz." I gave Mamu a big big hug and had a fun time for the rest of the evening.
I have to give it to the chums who wittingly thought of using "chaz" to lure us into going for this dinner. Nice one guys. And as for me, I therefore conclude, I'm one tsismoso person.
