OMG

OMG.  I haven't blogged for almost a year.

Henihoo..

I have been soooo busy that nothing interesting really happened in my life - at least for the past year or so.

So, here's an update at work.  I was previously handling Unilab Pediatrica, Petron and Red Ribbon.
But a rigodon happened.  Our original team, which is called ME2, is now watak-watak.  One team went to Nestle group.  Some remained.  And us, we moved to Jollibee group.

Not a big jump for me.  I still handle Petron and Red Ribbon. Unilab was assigned to someone else.  But I get Jollibee.

Which brings me to my point.

When I started working in McCann, I have been working to develop brand campaigns TO SELL.
Sell fuel.  Sell cakes.  Sell vitamins.

But, when I got to work with the Jollibee account, something different happened.
For the first time in my McCann life, I get to inspire people.   The work we do is to develop stories that inspire, stories that touch and those that reflect the real pinoy lives.

KWENTONG JOLLIBEE.

is a series of stories that bring to life Filipino values that center around and within Jollibee.

The latest installment was a tribute to grandparents. It is entitled "Kahera" (Cashier).  It tells a story about the Jollibee cashier, who gets a frequent visit from a seemingly irritable elderly customer.  This certain customer would always notice the imperfections of the cashier from the way her name tag is not properly pinned on her shirt or even in the way she smiles.  At the end of the material, it is revealed that this customer happens to be her grandmother - who comes to Jollibee, not to berate the cashier, but to show her support and push her the best that she can be.

I love the fact that we do this on a regular basis.
Thank you, world.
