Ok, so its been over a month of stay here at Phnom Penh.
Soh Far, Soh Good.
And here are updates and observations:
1) Pinoy Mafia -- we are the biggest group of foreigners in the company. So we're pretty popular. But then again, pressure to be great, and not just good. We are also the funnest, loudest group there. To describe us in such a way that my Augustinian chums would understand -- we are Group A.
2) My second time in Seam Reap -- After our fun vacation with chums last 2008, I vowed that I will return to see the ruins. And I did last week the Pinoy Mafia. I never knew there was a booming "party" area there. We didn't explore Seam Reap's downtown before but its really Boracay without the beach. A lot of bars lined up and loud music stays up till the morning (I should know bec I couldn't sleep). My recos -- Go to Blue Pumpkin, Angkor Wat? Bar and get a massage at Bodia.
3) While I miss home and my family and friends, i haven't reached the level of extreme homesickness. Thank goodness.
4) Call-in delivery is soooohhh hard. Hard to explain 2-pc chicken to KFC, hard to explain the address, etc. By the time the call is done, I'm already too irritated to even crave for KFC.
5) I had my first "moto" (motorcycle) experience. I angkas myself at the back. It sooohh scary! I honestly won't do that again even if tuktuks are more expensive.
6) Right now, since I'm trying to make myself financially stable here still, I've decided not to hire someone to wash my clothes yet. So, me muna. Next month na lang. Washing clothes is so hard. I don't have much clothes but they always seemed to be a million whenever its time to wash. They never seem to end.
7) I could imagine gaining 10 pounds since I got here. If not working or sleeping, I eat. Lots of food. Lots of rice. It has to stop!
8) I've been dealing with so many people of different races -- Indians, Russians, etc. Its quite an experience, but mostly difficult. I'm just taking it all in.
Oopss. Bye. My British CFO suddenly arrived. Time for some small talks. Ugh.
