Although, I'd like to call myself more of an Expat for classiness.
Cambodia is my life now. And surprisingly, I am adjusting quite well. I just got my own place. Apparently, as many foreigners work here, the business of looking for your own apartment is quite good. There are many agents you can call to help you find one. These agents are like scalpers ha, selling tickets for a LaSalle-Ateneo basketball match. Ganon, ka-rampant.
As I've mentioned in my FB status and tweets, I chose a touristy area for much fun surroundings. Thanks to the Pinoys here who were sooooooooooo helpful. They accompanied me for a whole day of house hunting even with the heat. Grabe. Sometimes, no, most of the time, they treat me, as the newbie here. Thank God for Pinoys talaga. The only challenge that I'm trying to overcome in my apartment is the landlady's dog. He seems to be angry at me, always barking. Fear of biter. I'm in the second floor, but sometimes when I open my door, he's there! He really go up to bantay me! Lordy. But today, he was okay. He deadma me.
Anyway, Cambodia is not bad at all. For example, I love the fact that most of the apartments here have shower heaters. The ceilings are high so even if its really hot, at least, its breezy & more airy inside. They also have bidets. No use for tabo! Although, namimiss ko rin ang tabo for some real Pinoy lifestyle. Apartments are fully furnished with cable and aircon.
Night life may not be Makati, but since I live in a touristy area, its not bad at all.
My pinoy friends are going to Siem Reap on the 24th. I've been there before with chums but I loved that place that I'm excited already to go with them. I'd like to see Angkor Wat during sun rise. The last time I went there, it was cloudy. So, bad trip.
Its my second week already. So far, so good. Surviving really well. Today, I had an Excom meeting. Funny the topics - cleanliness of the banyos, pintura of our boardroom walls, uniform of the security guards, etc. Migeads. At least, free food.
That's it for today. Next time, kwento ulit ako.
Oh by the way, here's my office cubicle:

See ya.
