Mixed Feelings on Baguio

I went to Baguio last weekend.

I've said many times that I hated going there because aside from the long and tiring drive, there's really nothing to do there. It became a boring place as opposed to the fun, family vacation spot when I was a kid.

But I suuuuuupper love the weather. It was freezing during the night but I'd give anything to have that kind of weather here in Manila.

Also, Baguio gives me lovely memories of the past...

Vacation with the family, sharing stories in front of a fireplace -- makes me a feel like i'm out of the country -- just a little.

I used to go there with my high school friends. So innocent, so fun. Well, not really innocent but fun.

The laughters, the drama of the last ad congress with former image people, my ex-boss and my buds.

And of course, one of the few out-of-town things with the chums. We were young and happy, with no heavy baggages nor problems nor "deaths" (hee, sorry) at that time.
I remember, all of us lifting our shirts up trying to battling the cold winds as they pound against our tummies. And who could forget the Gobi experience where I endured the excruciating pain of consuming super spicy food then eating lots of rice and water after, in the hopes of killing the spicy-ness.

These are nice thoughts that makes me wanna go back to that place. But really, I don't want to go there anymore na!
