Knock Knocking

Lying down on my bed, reading a book, I was suddenly surprised by a knocking sound, more of a hammer hammering a nail.

It started with a soft banging then continued to a very headache-causing and agressive whamming. At first, being the cowardly that I am, I thought there were some spirits trying to scare the wits out of me. I was scared to open my bedroom door because I felt that something monstrous was out there, disturbed and angry. The sound was so near I felt like that an entity is right outside my bedroom smashing some things.

Having summoned all my courage, I got my cell phone and keys, rushed out my bedroom, straight to the door and out of my unit. It was pretty fast. I went down and informed the guards. They radioed one of their co-guards to check and have a look.

So, after a few minutes, I calmed down and went up again with hopeful thoughts that no monster had ransacked my place. I sat on the couch. No sound. Thank God.

But after a short while, its back once again. The knocking sound. This time, I was not afraid anymore because I really felt that an actual human being in the unit above mine was doing some carpentry work at eleven! God. I surrendered and just watch TV.

The doorbell rang and it was one of the guards. The sound has stopped for about ten minutes already. But by sheer luck, while the guard was there, it came back. At least, I was able to prove to them that there was some serious hammering sounds upstairs. The guard went up. The hammering stopped.

Ha. At that point, I knew they were reprimanded.

But the guard went back to my unit and said they denied that they were the cause of it.

Liars. But at least they stopped.

I went back to bed, read a little and slept.
